ImageWe all know that Alexa ratings are not necessarily accurate. However, Alexa rankings are looked at by several advertisers. So what can you do if you have no ratings for Alexa and you need to boost your ratings for some company that cares about Alexa?

Alexa Traffic Boost Tip 1 -
A quick and easy solution to start with is to install the Alexa toolbar on your computer. This will allow you to boost your ratings because you will undoubtedly visit your own site. Although this won't provide you with a mega-boost, it will allow you to add to your Alexa ranking. If you make your homepage the default page when your browser opens, this will ensure that every single time you open your browser, your visit is counted by Alexa.

Alexa Traffic Boost Tip 2 -
Ask a few of your friends to install the Alexa toolbar and visit your site. You can ask them to add your blog as their default homepage as well.

Alexa Traffic Boost Tip 3 -
Install the toolbar on every computer you use and visit your site on all of those computers.

Alexa Traffic Boost Tip 4 -
Install the Alexa site widget. Every single time a person visits your site, Alexa will record that information. This will certainly provide an Alexa traffic boost to your site because it's downloaded every time someone visits your site. PureBlogic is currently at 660,166. I'm adding the widget today so we can watch the rise of PureBlogic with the widget together. Install it on your blog and write a comment to this article. I'll take a look and we can watch our growth together.

Alexa Traffic Boost Tip 5 -
Write articles about your experience with Alexa. People are interested in stories about Alexa and other people's experience with the system. Document your experiences. Your site visitors will be able to look back on your writing and chart your growth with Alexa. You may also want to add an Alexa category to your blog so people know exactly where to find your articles.

Don't get caught up with trying to use redirects to boost your Alexa ratings. There are articles swarming all over the Internet about how you can increase your Alexa rank with redirects. This method was ostensibly flawed in the first place because doing it made your site miss on PageRank from your links and now it doesn't work anymore. Alexa may not be the most accurate method of charting traffic rankings, however, advertisers do look at the ranking. If you can boost it, why not give it a try? Make the most of these simple techniques and give your blog and your websites an Alexa ratings boost.
