There are designers among us who love to do fanciful and creative things with our backgrounds whenever we can. Sometimes we love to add swirls to our backgrounds. Sometimes we use squares. Sometimes its things that buck the conventional standard of whatever some people think web design or graphic design should be.

I love to find great little tools and resources to make our journey to design utopia a little easier. StripeMania is one such tool that I think you’re going to find useful. StripeMania is a nice web 2.0 tool designed to allow you to…..well….create stripes!

This tool is free and allows you to create seamless stripes for your websites, your graphic designs or your whatever. You can alter the size of the stripes, the spacing between the stripes, the gradient effect on the stripes and, of course, and the colors of the stripes. This is a handy little tool for those of us who want a quick and dirty way to create horizontal, vertical or diagonal stripes for our projects.

The interface is easy to understand and there is a tutorial available if you need help. You are free to use your creations wherever you like and you can share your designs with others via the site.
