When you need to determine which keywords are popular in your niche, there are a variety of methods you can use. One of the absolute best methods is the SEO Book keyword tool. This tool offers you a lot of information. 

Instead of walking you through each individual element, I'm going to give you an overview of how to use the tool to determine if you are doing as much as you can to maximize your search engine optimization efforts.

As you can see, typing in your keyword gives you a large number of places to use for your keyword research as well as daily search estimates for you to use. In addition to the screens that I'm showing you here, you also get a lot of information at the bottom of the search page.

I'm not going to give you a long and drawn out explanation of how to use the tool because it's self explanatory. In future articles this week we are going to cover how you can put all of this information to use. For now, you can plug your keywords in and get a rough estimate of the daily traffic from the major search engines. As you can see from the main screen of the tool, you can also access other tools like the Google Traffic Estimator from this tool. Being able to access other tools from this tool and really drill into the information is one of the key reasons that I like this tool.
